Presidential Test- The Liberal Media Fails Again
With the passing of Chief Justice Rehnquist, as well as the aftermath from Katrina (see today's Meet the Press for a pretty good roundup), this will be a great test for President Bush. It is the second major test (the other being 9-11) he has faced, and this will perhaps become the second defining moment of his Presidency.
For sure, these next few weeks will be be a shaping factor for his legacy.

Americans are broadly critical of government preparedness in the Hurricane Katrina disaster — but far fewer take George W. Bush personally to task for the problems, and public anger about the response is less widespread than some critics would suggest.Also:
Forty-six percent of Americans approve of Bush's handling of the crisis, while 47 percent disapprove.
