Pinstripe Politics: All Politics is Statewide

I found this article from the other day in The Politico. This is not good news if you are a Republican.
At a time when the GOP presidential nominee will need more assistance than ever, a number of state Republican parties are struggling through troubled times, suffering from internal strife, poor fundraising, onerous debt, scandal or voting trends that are conspiring to relegate the local branches of the party to near-irrelevance.

If the state parties across the nation are struggling, then it is going to hurt every Republican candidate from state legislator to governor, and all the way up to McCain. I guess the most troubling part is, no one seems to have any idea of how to fix the problem and rebuild the state parties. All I know is that if it doesn't get fixed quickly, it doesn't matter how much Obama and Clinton fight; the Democrats will win in November.
